Death Is Not the End

A message of hope when grief feels close

When someone we love dies, grief can stay with us. Time may soften the pain, but love remembers. Why does death feel so wrong?

1. We were made for life with God

God created us to know Him and live in His presence. Death was never meant to be our friend. The Bible calls it an enemy.

2. Sin brought separation and death

We have all sinned and turned from God. Sin separates us from the One who gives life and brings just judgement. Good deeds and religion cannot rescue us.

Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8–9

3. Jesus came to rescue us

God did not abandon us. Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, died on the cross in our place and rose bodily from the grave. He opened the way back to God.

John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; 1 Peter 2:24

4. You can receive new life

Salvation is God’s gift. Turn from sin and trust Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. In Him there is forgiveness, peace with God, and eternal life.

Mark 1:15; Romans 10:9–13; John 11:25–26

What will you do with Jesus?

Take a moment. Which sentence is true for you today?

• I want to understand more.
• I am ready to turn to Jesus today.
• I already trust Jesus and want to live with eternity in view.

You can speak to God honestly:

Lord Jesus, I have sinned and need Your mercy. I believe You died for me and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust You as my Saviour and Lord. Forgive me and help me follow You. Amen.

These words are not a formula. Jesus saves everyone who turns to Him in repentance and faith.

Death will not have the last word

Jesus will return and make all things right. In Him, death will be swallowed up in victory.
